
The Retreat Sarasota Appoints New Event Sales Manager and Launches Website

SARASOTA, Fla. – April 18, 2023 – The Retreat Sarasota, a premier venue for social occasions, weddings, gatherings and corporate events, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, theretreatsarasota.com, as well as the appointment of Brandy Harlan as Event Sales Manager. In her new position, Harlan will book and coordinate events at the all-new venue, which was established to support local area non-profit Resilient Retreat.
As ‘the venue that saves lives,’ proceeds from The Retreat Sarasota directly benefit Resilient Retreat’s mission to provide free, confidential and evidence-based, trauma-informed services to trauma survivors, helping professionals and first responders. Brandy joins the team from The Bishop Museum of Science & Nature, where she was the Director of Business Development. In her role, Brandy developed and produced new revenue-generating programs, maintained budgets for event and venue rentals, and increased event space rental clientele. Prior to that, Brandy was the Director of Weddings and Events at The Pavilion at Mixon Farms. There she managed the venue’s event planning team, including contract signing, fee collection, event booking and promotions, and built strong event industry relationships. In addition, Brandy launched event packages that successfully doubled revenue and clientele in the first nine months of debut. Brandy shares, “The mission that Resilient Retreat and The Retreat Sarasota embraces is exciting and a driving force behind my desire to make it a sought after sanctuary for many events and special moments to come.”
